Slate Size:

Our "Stock Sizes" include: 6x6, 6x9, 6x12, 9x9, 9x12, & 12x12. These are sold in 10 sq. ft. cartons only. The slate is Gauged 1/4" and the topside is a Natural Cleft.

Depending on what you order there are many ways in which your order can be packaged. There are some examples below:

Single Color and Single Size
(example: Black 6x9)

Single Color and Random Sizes
(example: Red in all Stock Sizes)

Mixed Colors and Random Sizes
(example: All Colors & All Stock Sizes)

Shipping Slate?

Your order will ship by Common Carrier (cheapest way) strapped to a wooden pallet. Shipping & Handling is figured by weight and destination, so you will need to know what your total order will be.

~ Each carton weighs 40lbs.
~ Each wooden pallet is 60lbs. (74-80 boxes per pallet).

This information along with your City, State, and Zip will enable me to call for a shipping quote.

NOTE: You will need to be available for the delivery of your order, because you will need to off-load the truck. Call the shipper to arrange the delivery time.

Slate Color:

Mother Nature provides several beautiful colors from the Vermont and New York Slate Belt:

• Black
• Gray
• Red
• Green
• Purple
• Mottle (purple with varied amounts of green )

The colors are subdued in hue and look beautiful in only 1 color or a mixture of 2 or more!

When Will Your Slate Arrive?:

We have six quarries in which we draw our own slate from!
Many of the order requests we receive can be filled and shipped in a reasonable time frame.
Some colors are less available in nature and will take longer to fill.
Weather here in Vermont will also be a factor.
